OT Interesting HP/Torque curve on CAT 3406C

Been waiting a while for this report on my CAT 3406C Desile Engine. Got it today, when it was rebuilt 60,000 miles ago they put it on a dyno to test it. The Max HP was 438 HP @ 2010 RPM but the Max Torque was 1688 ft lbs @ 1660 RPM that part suprised me over 3.8 times the torque for the HP! No wonder it can just crawl off at low RPMs with a heavy load. A guy told me it could rip the drive shaft out if the wheels did not turn now I know why. Mark H.
