The oil pumps need to be primed on these engines. make sure it is. I use pre lube when I assemble then with the spark plugs removed spin the engine with the starter for a while until the oil pressure comes up and then some to make sure I have oil everywhere before I put the plugs back in. then putplugs in and fire it up. Then go celebrate.
