I cant help you with your alchemy but I will offer this anecdote. In the mid 80s my wife and I bought a 76 VW Rabbit. It had been undercoated with some slimey, sticky goo that didnt harden. That would be fine on a vehicle that didnt need any attention underneath. Unfortunatly that particular car did not fall into that category. I was under that p.o.s. more than I was in the drivers seat. I hated that car. Most of my Rabbit hatred stemmed from that snot that was sprayed under it. So, be careful what you put under your truck, if yours is like mine, you will "occasionally" find yourself under there.
