Did you happen to count the number of tires on the ground? I was on a design team about 10 years ago that built a chemical plant in SW Wyoming, part of which was a 35 ton heat exchanger. The heat exchanger was built in Casper, WY and transported over South Pass using a setup very similar to this one. The trailer had 128 tires on the ground, and a man was stationed on the trailer to steer it independently from the puller and pusher trucks. Adding 32 tires from the puller and pusher trucks got the tire count to 160 on the ground. These Kenworths appear to have 50 ton planetary hubs like the ones that took the heat exchanger over South Pass, so they are built very stout.
