A properly set up snatchblock can double, triple or quadruple the pulling power of your winch while not exceeding its rating.
Or..to look at it another way...
If you do not exceed the max rating but use a snatchblock anyway, you can reduce the load on the winch by 1/2, 2/3 or 3/4's.
