I just picked up a nifty book titled "Illustrated Buyer's Guide - Classic 4x4s" by Jim Allen, Motor Books International, ISBN 0-7603-0340-1 $17.95.
It has many 4x4 vehicles in it, gives a review of each, and rates their Day-to-Day livability, Off-Highway ability, Investment potention and Parts availability. As wel as general price ranges. I nicely covers all the Powerwagons and the military Dodges. Also lists how many were made and original equipment specs.
This might be worth the investment before you purchase a Powerwagon or military Dodge (or Brand X).
