OK Larry if we are going to "build the strongest drive train" you can get we will move you to the head of the class and skip the Dana axle route. You need Rockwell C 240s. If you want more manuverability two FC 240s will give you the option of two axle steering and crab steering when you want it. You won't have to hunt for "big" tires because 44" are standard here and can easily move up to 48' and beyond. Ratios are 6.72 to 1. Lockers are easily available from Boyce Equip. or Antelope Valley. Best part is they are cheap! I bought 3 axles w/tires and wheels for $200. Proper legs for any big block. Have fun.
