To elaborate on the 300, we ran one ton duallys w/light loads of one ton to two plus ton constantly. Never empty. Not only blown head gaskets but the exhaust manifolds would break and drop the pipe down onto the starter shorting out the hot wire. Apparently too much back pressure with the original pipe. The 3" replacement pipes were routed under the starter and eliminated all the problems. We had a national account at that time with a Ford rep calling on us. It was one of those Ford fixes that only the squeaky wheels got. If you like torquey sixs, I've got an M4 high speed tractor I will sell cheap. Weighs 14 ton, does 35 MPH with a six that don't quit. Waukesha 817 cubic inches, 5 3/8 bore x 6 inch stroke. Don't have the tourque specs but I know your mind is imagining it right now. 190 brake HP at 2100 rpms. Made to pull an 8 inch gun through ass deep mud at speed. manual trans with torque converter. You need a seasoned wife and no nieghbors for this one. It's like a big dog. Not every house can handle one. Cardiac material for the Zoning Nazis. An E ticket ride though.
