I threw this Q out to the crowd just before the end of he last
forum and didn't get to see the responses, sooooo....QUESTION!
My 66 W-200 with a 74 (or so) 318 runs the manifold red HOT on
the passenger side. I have checked for intake leaks, tightened
down the carb bolts (it was loose) and replaced the exh. manifold
gaskets. It still runs red to orange. The carb is a Carter BBD
1¼ 2 barrel with the metering rods so there is nothing blocking
the jets.
Any ideas?
