A while ago I needed a new shear pin for my MU2 winch. Armed with the measurements, I went to the local industrial supply house. I found out that there is no industry standard for the shearing point of a 5/16 shear pin. It could vary even though the pin is the same size. At the farm implement repair shop they told me the same thing. If they are working on Case equipment, they use Case shear pins even though a John Deere pin might fit. Anyway, I located 50 new Braden MU2 steel shear pins from a Dodge dealer.The pins were still in the original Braden packaging.
