You might want to try using the parts off a '78 or newer. The steering box for the '77 and earlier trucks use a reverse rotation steering box, VERY pricey for a new one! They have the output at a 90 degree angle to the frame, the later ones use one that points straight down. If you use the later type, all you will need is an adapter plate to bolt to the frame and a regular Saginaw steering box. Can use a 2WD unit, or even a (GASP!) Chevy unit. Good luck, Morpar.
