did the slant 6 bolt straight to the tranny , or did you have to use a adapter plate? what year and size of slant 6 ?? did you use the origanal bell housing from the flat head ? if not what did you use ?

i'm in the middle of a rebuild on a '54 m-37 and looking for other engine options . a 300 six ford with a 5 speed out of a 2wd should fit , but i want to keep this thing all chryco and i'd like to stay with a inline engine
