Morning Dan;

I sent a 75 Dodge Saginaw Reverse Rotation Power Steering box to AGR Performance Steering in Fort Worth to be rebuilt with a 210 valve for better road feel. They did an exchange and returned the PS Box shown in the picture, cost was $200. AGR Performance Steering 817-626-9006, www.agrperformance.com You can also just buy a modified box from them with no exchange/core. The difference in road feel is Night/Day compared to a unmodified Saginaw Box. All my trucks have/get a AGR Conversion.

The Brake Master Cylinder is a Bendix 11584. It was used in a Chevy C-30, 1 ton, with JD-8 Option. The JD-8 option is a 1 5/16" bore as used with factory Hydraboost. You will not be happy with a 1 1/4" bore, little reserve on pedal .

The Proportion Valve for the brakes is from Summit Racing and is a Wilwood
WIL-260-8419 Knob Adjust Style $39.00. This is a must with 4 wheel disk brakes

Power Steering Pump is a Stock Dodge 73-79 PN# A1-20-6859. I used this pump as it used my stock 318 PS pump mounts and Pulleys. The Pulleys are stock from a 73 Dodge 318. I have recently been told that a NAPA 20-8709 Power Steering Pump has the highest flow and presure in the Tank Style that will fit on the 318. NOTE: I have not checked this information out, proceed on this carefully, its unknown if this is true.

The Winch Hydraulic Motor is a Char-Lynn 101-1028-009 coupled to the MU-2 with a LoveJoy Coupling from Graingers, as suggested by Braden Engineer.

The Plumbing was done in this fashion as suggested by Engineer at Mile Marker Winch and also by Braden Winch Engineer.

Out Put from PS Pump goes to a manual 'Open Center' Hydraulic Valve, then out of the manual valve to the Power Steering Box then to the Hydraboost and finally return to the Power Steering pump. From the Open Center Manual Valve 2 lines go to the Char-Lynn Winch Pump Motor to drive it forward and reverse. Be advised during winching operations, you do not have PS or PB as no hydraulic oil if flowing to the PS Box/Hydraboost. A simple release of the manual valve spring loaded lever and you return to normal PS/PB.

I have no way to measure actual line pull of the MU-2/Hydraulic. But pulling some big logs with this system and then my Bumblebee with a Standard Shaft drive, pull power appears to be very equal. Line speed is about 10%-15% slower on the Hydraulic drive system. Braden Engineers suggested a 3.9 cu inch motor, I had a new Char-Lynn 4.9 cu inch motor and used that. The larger displacement would result in a slower motor RPM. If I ever find a 3.9 cu inch motor at a good price, I will change it. But the present line speed is not that bad to merit my buying a new motor for big bucks.

The only tricky part was bleeding all the air from the system, this takes a little doing. When your ready, I can walk you through that part. Not a bad job, just takes some time and patience. Most likly I will use this same system to drive the Braden LU-4 winch on my M-37.

Your always welcome to call me to discuss the above system and the air bleed routiene. 518-532-9502 Shoot me a email when youwant to call and I will be sure to be here.

Paul
