I dont think it's possible. Those things are hard enough to get into gear when your using a clutch.
Maby in a automatic.
We have Kenworth fire trucks that use a semi-automatic Allison behind a 6v71 detroit and you pump in 4th gear, theres a lockout to hold it in that gear to keep it from jumping out.
