My Thermal Dynamica is rated to cut 7/8" and sever 1.5". A cut is clean, sever is rough.
I can also turn her down and wack 20 ga sheet.
I can also put a gouge tip on to cut out old welds etc. Once you get used to handling the torch, you can do all types of free hand cutting. Always but a Plasma for much larger than you figure you will normally cut. Then your all set if you need to work on your Rolex Watch.
