Up for Bid: 1954 C1 Dodge Power Wagon [OR]

This is an extremely unique vehicle containing a variety of accessories not common to most of this Dodge series. This vehicle was designed and built by Dr. W.J.Sittner, and Robert Desmond, owner of Pacific Consolidated, a manufacturing firm in Portland. In 1954 this vehicle was purchased from Dodge as a flat bed with cab. One of the hunters was a doctor in Portland, Or. the other owned and operated Pacific Consolidated, a manufacturing firm in Portland. Together they designed and built this magnificent vehicle.

Aside from the vehicle itself, included with the purchase price is a letter written by the wife of the original owner along with copies of original photographs and the original owners manual. Inside the rig were found ; 8qts. steel, orange and yellow can's of Shell X100 motor oil (not opened), 1 gal. red white and blue can Prestolite anti-freeze(dented but, not opened) , brake fluid, and the original robin egg blue interior paint, extra fuses and bulbs, tube patch kits and a variety of cooking utensils.

This vehicle has been garaged from 1954-1999. there is very little rust and no dents. All paint, glass and rubber is original (one roll up window is cracked)and, there is less than 20,000 miles on it.

The list of extras is impressive and include;

Radio, heater, gauges, 3 military style vertical mount gun racks , compass, altimeter, semaphore signal light, 2 electric ceiling fans, 6v dc / 110v ac / and propane lighting (interior), 20 x 20 stain- less steel sink, 3 burner stove and oven, Frigidaire refrigerator and lots of storage. It sleeps 2-4 people comfortably. The roll-up windows on driver and passenger side have removable screens. There are also 2 fire extinguishers(1 solid brass,1 co2). It is also well insulated.

On the exterior left front fender is an enclosed electric water pump, on the other an enclosed gas operated Onan generator with it's own battery box. 1 - 40 gal water tank, 2- 40 gal fuel tanks, Mico 4 wheel brake locks, front under mount spare tire, 1- 100 yard 7/16x 9 strand cable PTO winch and 1- miler 1/8x7 strand pto winch. Yes, that’s right, 2 front mounted PTO winch spools. The "miler" winch has over 5000 ft. of 1/8" cable. to put this cable to good use they also designed a removeable "high lead", tri-pod with a 360 degree swivel pulley for pulling big game out of the brush and to hang it in front of the rig to dress it out. All of this and a dependable flat-head six to power it all.

The only thing that this rig needs is some-one to give it a little TLC.

The builder of this truck has two signs on the truck "Pacific Consolidated Inc. Portland Or.. Approximately 2 x 3 inches ,one on each side.
