Good job! Do you mind if I add it to the PIF?

TC Yoke Sleeve - Chicago Rawhide Speedi-Sleeve# 99212 Carquest can cross reference that number. When you say near, is it leaking past the yoke and seal?
If you install a speedi-sleeve, put some silicone on yoke 1/4 way from end so it will make a seal.

Also if you did not assemble the brake drum yoke with silicone on the splined output shaft to seal it, oil will seep between the shaft splines and yoke when you begin driving it. It's not a problem other than it slowly soaks the band with oil over time. You can tell if it leaks by oil streeks outward towards the band. Nows a good time to take it off and apply silicone around the inside end of the yoke and down the splines and around the drum and washer. Experience

There is only a bushing in the worm housing where the drum shaft comes out. You may have a worn bushing and shaft which will let oil pass, but usually only during periods of operation. You filled the worm housing with oil only to the side plug, correct, not to the top of the housing? Did you rebuild it or someone else?

Priming the engine is a topic that comes up now and then. Most engines will run for enough time for the pump to do its thing, with assembly lube or better, a mixture of 50% oil and STP as an assembly mix, before experiencing any problems. I had a problem once with a rebuilt engine not pumping oil. I made several starts, some to the point of hearing metal to metal squeals before shuting the engine off. I finally got the pump working and it ran fine for many years. I did let the engine cool before each attempt. If priming is a concern, you can poor a half qtr of oil down the filter cartridge cantainer, with filter out, let drain down, assemble the filter, as a prime before starting.

I've done my share of going back. It's all about working on vintage trucks with out the experience. We all start this way!
