I'm patiently waiting for the cab on my ffpw to be finished. Before it is installed I thought it would be a good time to lubricate everyting on the rolling frame. I made a checklist that may be helpful to others, (hope I didnt miss anything).

Engine oil

Gear oil: transmission/PTO, transfer case, front and rear differential, winch, steering gear.
Drops of oil: distributer, generator, brake and clutch clevis pins/rod connections, wick in clutch release fork bearing,(thanks Vaughn)

Grease: driveshafts and u-joints(front, rear, main)(9), PTO u-joints (2),front and rear spring shackles (12),Pitman arm (2), tie rods (2), winch (2), clutch/brake pedal assembly (2), steering knuckle (2)(lots of gease to fill to level plug - tied arm)

Problems encountered/solved
Steering box leak, drained oil used John Deere cornhead grease
Transmission leak , drained oil, took out 3/8 bolt that hold rear plate in and put teflon tape

Unsolved problems
Transfer case leaks near rear driveshaft yoke
Seal is new, yoke has been machined. What is the sleeve called you can buy to cover a grooved yoke and can I get it at Carquest?

Winch leaks where the drum shaft comes out. I think there is just a bushing there, at least I don't remember a seal there when everyhing was redone. Solution needed here Hopeing not to have to revert to cornhead grease again.

Does the oil pump have to be taken out of my newly rebuilt motor to be primed?

Don't you hate it when you think you are making progress and have to go back?
