One way an old timer showed me was to put some clean, crushed gravel in there and fill about 3/4 full of water. Then strap it to something that slowly turns, we used a cement mixer, and let it run for a few hours. Basically it scours the inside and did a good enough job. just MAKE sure you can get the stones back out. Some fills have the tube going into the tank making for a rather long game of operation. There's one that dates me. Kevin
