Well at least one good thing I was able to buy a completely front to rear Rebuilt 1977 1 Ton 4X4 for $4,000.00 and I can work on it also! It will out pull this Dodge twice as good on the hills and it never down shifts going up it! It's a Chevy but thats OK I have had them for years and never had a Transmission problem and I abused them to! One 1972 Ford Van I had never changed the tranny fluid in over 200,000 miles and it still worked great! Nice part about the 1998 Dodge it runs great, looks good, pleasent to drive on the road, just the Transmission is Junk! Never has shifted right it allways was up and down shifting when ever you gave it some gas and it can't figure what gear it has to be in on the hills even empty! Mark H.
