Crosswind landings are fun. I have landed in a 25 mph, 90-degree crosswind without incident. I was looking at the runway through the side window. The Ercoupe has beafy landing gear to take the initial side loading. They do not swivel as some people think (the B-52 does have that feature). Without rudder pedals, you have to crab rather than slip. Sometimes if the runway is a wide one, I can straighten out just prior to touchdown by steering into the crosswind. Always fun.
This photo shows when I owned two Ercoupes. I sold the star spangled one about 15 months ago since only one fits in the hanger. Hope I never need a spare.
