I had the radiator core moved to the front of the top tank, to give me the maximum space~2.5"), and allow for the V-8 to me mounted approx. 1-3/8" further forward than what Ray's kit would. I also used the short snout water pump which is approx. 1" shorter, but that caused a lot of other problems. I did that because I was using a hydraulic clutch and the bellhousing is longer. The fan spec states it 4-3/16" thick. My total radiator and fan is ~7" thick. the fan can be bought and installed as a pusher, and you would gain about another 1/2", and that would have allowed me to use the longer water pump, but I like the puller for cooling better than the pusher.
