I love the chase also. I saw the movie a couple of months ago.
I love to watch the General Lee in The Dukes of Hazzard also (the original not the new trashy version). Not so much for the acting but if you look carefully you can see the General's body buckle quite often on landing. They should have cut a couple of frames earlier. They sure took out a lot of Generals. Too bad as it really reduced the number available today.
Next time you are watching a movie and they are jumping cars watch very closely when they land. You can often catch some interesting things. On DVD it is great as you can go frame by frame if you catch someting.
Come to think of it I saw a nice 68 or 69 Charger in a used car lot a week ago. It was that mossy green that they had back then. Looked like a very clean car.
