Install seatbelts and inside door locks in your trucks if you let your kids ride in them.
Had my 4 year old son in town with me yesterday taking drywall remmnants to the dump.
We were just coming to a stop when he pushed the door handle forward and popped the door open throwing him out of the truck. This was a WDX-WM300 type power wagon. He is fine but has a nasty goose egg on his forehead, and scrapped his chin up really bad.
As a father you can imagine how terrible and responsible I feel for his injuries. My PW is the only truck we drive in without seatbelts. It's just plain stupidity on my part and I know better.
Originality be dammed on this point. Can you imagine what would have happened if we were going 35MPH?
Needless to say, my rig is getting proper seats and seatbelts today.
