In OZ Dodge used Perkins as an option from the late 40`s to 78 when they (Dodge) shut shop.
Almost ever other large truck used them to.They use to be everywhere.
After market parts for the 4 cyl ones here are pretty plentifull.
Fedral Mogal make most of them.
Last one I rebuilt was half the cost of rebuilding a 4bt
Have not seen a 6 for a long time but parts are still available.
I can remember in the early 90`s walking in to the CAT dealer workshop, and seeing a Perkin 4 cyl painted yellow with a cat badge stuck on it.I think Cat owned about 25% of Perkins then.
