I think Perkins had about the only line of small diesels that adapted well into small trucks at that time. Perkins diesels could be found in a lot of IHC pickups, and Travelalls in the late 60's and earily 70's
I worked in a lot of underground mines back then. Many mines used the IHC vehicles with Perkins diesels, in their underground operations, as gas-powered equipment was not allowed. I recall even seeing a IHC Scout fitted with a Perkins.
