I didn't know about that motor, what is the torque rating?
The problem with the Mopar slant 6 and in-line 6 motors is the corporate desire to eliminate multiple engine lines/plants to cut costs. The V-6 can be built on the same line as the V-8, but I'm with you, given a chance the Jeep 4.2-4,0 could have made great strides. The last 4.0 motors had a very efficient MPI fuel system, coil on plug electronics, but the block design was 40 years old and just couldn't meet future emissions or CAFE standards. Chrysler has put it's eggs in the small diesel basket, we''l see where that goes.
