Paul I figured out if I welded small brackets on the outside of the tank the plates could be held in place by them till they were welded. I was thinking about just that the plate slipping off the side while getting ready to weld them. On the heavy plates I will just weld a attachment point to them on the inside where you can't see it later then I don't have to worry about grips. I made up a 6 point chain hook set up for lifting the big 8X12 sheet for the lid. That is how I loaded it on the trailer. Safety is a big concern for me on this since I am out of work if I mess up now! I only have one shot befor winter to finish it right. Not spring time, cause then it has to be inspected and ready to go not being welded together. Mark H.
