I believe it if the batteries are treated right (kept charged), but I'm talking about batteries that have been brutally abused -- neighbor kids turn the light switch on the deuce on in the fall and I don't find out about it till spring, or I leave the light on at my cabin and the big expensive bus battery runs totally down, or I find a battery in the back of the garage that I hadn't seen for 5 years, or I leave a battery in the tractor over the winter out in the mountains and by spring it's in sorry shape. I don't think you can beat liquid electrolyte with filler caps when it comes to withstanding abuse and having a fighting chance of recovering from it.
