I have the M's Drive shafts at a drive shaft shop for check out, balance and alignment check, as well as while they have them to put in new U-Joints.

The issue is on the needle bearing cup seal material. He has three in stock (and I have four on hand for spares) that are the older cork material seals, and I have one with the newer neoprene/rubber seal (NAPA). He was unable to find any with the newer material (Don't think he looked too hard or in the right places).

The question is, Should I be concerned about the seal material? Is the older material OK? He seemed unhappy about using the older material seals.

The cross reference numbers I have for the Front & Rear Drive Shaft Seals are:
NAPA # NUJ305
AutoZone # 2-1400
Spicer # 5-1300X
Dana # CD5-1300X
Borg Warner # 114-162
Series # 5160
Meritor # CP52625-2
GMB # GU2500
Precision # 305

Thanks,
Will
