I have a 01 Durango R/T, and in the last year I have had the valve body in the tranny replaced 3 times. Guess what? It's still not right. I'm lucky to get 7 MPG with or without a load. I watch my gas gauge go down as I drive. That's real depressing too.
Since it was warranty work, I'm hoping to get a new tranny, torque converter, clutch, U joints ect. Needless to say, I'm not going back to the same dealer for the work. I don't think the problems are with just Dodge. I think ALL the newer vehicles are crap. They rely to much on electronics to correct for any mechanical problems. BTW, I had an old 79 Suburban that I got over 500,000 on and I used it to plow snow too. One season I got lazy and didn't change the plugs. They ended up becoming a permenant part of the block. ;>)
