That's the right theory, but apples to oranges application. Electric fans are not "free" but the thermostat switch controls useage, thus they are more efficient than a clutch fan, which is still attached to the truck motor, even when "free-wheeling". Try you figures again at 2,000 rpm, unless you have a Dodge 230-6 that turns at 7,000....= )
