I just disasebled a MU Braden winch. The 2 keys on the clutch had to be sliced in two with a dremel. I broke a new pair of vice grips trying to beat them out. I tryed a torch to gently heat the shaft and then applying ice to the keys....that did not work. Those babies were in there. The funny thing is that the key on the worm fell out on its own. I guess it would be a good idea to replace the bushings at least on the housing side to try to reduce the leakage of oil ariund the shaft. I have the seal kit to seal everything up. That was a bigger jobn than rebuilding the LU4 on the M37.
