That's why I don't like them. I had to get one anyway ($5 at harbor freight), and I was surprised that it actually did not leak and the hose was big enough that I could actually suck the oil in relatively easily. It was better than the first suck & squirt I had, maybe because this one was made in India and the other one was Chinese. It also had a nice rough finish that made it easy to hold onto when covered with oil.

I still much prefer a bucket pump, especially since I still have about 20 gallons of army surplus 85-140 to use up. Anyway, the suck & squirt did the job and I'd say that altogether I put about 3 quarts into the 2 differentials plus the transfer case. 3 quarts is a reasonable amount to do with the suck & squirt, but I wouldn't want to have to use it for the M35, where each gearbox takes several gallons, or for the final drives on my Cat. I couldn't get at the tranny plug due to the g-job PTO shaft coming out the back, but for towing purposes it shouldn't matter. At some point I'll have to pull that shaft and fill the tranny.
