rod bearing question

I installed the pistons and rods today. I noticed there is a little play in the rod crank connection. just a tiny bit. Is that normal. Also the crank with all of the pistons in is hard to turn with your hands. I hope this is ok.

ps. I have descided to drill out the manifold stud hole and helicoil
