I've applied the POR-15, and then waited as the instructions stated for it to be dry to the touch, but provide drag to a finger before applying the Engine Top coat, and ouch.

Not near as happy with the top coat product as I was with the POR-15 undercoat. Lots of areas where the black shows through, and it will most defiantly need a second coat to cover all the black. I guess I should have forgone the POR-15 undercoat as the engine was clean, but felt the "complete" package would be best. Now I've got an engine with black streaks and spots.

Even over the areas that were primed with an etching primer (new oil pan and filter), the top coat did the same, so I don't think it's related to the POR-15, but their high solid engine paint.

Now do I brush or spray the 2nd coat?

Thanks,
Will
