I have an old AVS and its not vapor locking. Seems to act like the octane is lower and the engine pings. I went from 91 premium to 90 ethanol and theres a night and day difference in how it runs. I've adjusted the timing down some to take care of the ping but its a bear to start after its sat for a few days or more.
