'68 318 Timing Chain Oiling Question

I've got a 1968 318 from a W-200 that I'm re-building for the M37, and have noticed an issue. My Cam Thrust Plate bolts were all solid bolts. None of them have the oiling hole and I don't recall a drip pan on it either.

Is this possible? Are these ever installed with out the hole or drip pan to oil the timing chain?
