That's exactly the type and quality of info I was looking for, from someone who had actually crawled underneath the trucks and compared the frames. I was going to insist on the 3500, but if the only difference between the two are the springs, I'll go with the 2500 since they are more available (2005 closeout sales). thanks again, and also to Joe for providing the fourum.
