As a former Utahn, now Alaskan, I understand what you're going through. We lost our much loved Candy to cancer at the same time my wife was going through treatment for her cancer. We lost Candy's son a few years later. The other day I sat down and took a chisel and engraved a headstone for his grave. I suppose to some it might seem like overdoing it, but I felt it was the least I could have done for him after all the years we enjoyed each others company. Everytime we walk out to the edge of the property we always manage to stop and say hello! We now have three more Schnauzers and they are a handful. There is no friend like your dog.
