Gentlemen:
Thank you for the leads. I have checked out the websites that you mentioned in the responses to my e-mail about restoring my Power Wagon.
I am an absolute neophyte in this arena. I suspect there is no good way for anyone on this website to estimate how much a ground-up restoration will cost. But since I haven't got the foggiest idea, can somebody give me any help?
How much can it cost, assuming the body is sound, no major parts to make, blah, blah, blah. Again, I am not asking for a dyed in the wool figure, but I am looking for some rough estimates. I plan to speak to the people you guys have recommended and I suspect they will be able to answer my question, but does anybody on this website have any experience in these matters.
Again, I suspect it is like asking, "How much does a divorce cost?" But where do I go to find out what is reasonable. How do you determine if the estimate proposed by some of these places is reasonable, other than just getting bids on the job from about 3-4 top-notch places across the country?
I appreciate the responses very much.
