Boy - the 'old' batteries are pricey, and hardly any 'lead burners' left to pull the top off and fix them ...
The guys on the Triumph forums have been building a faux top out of masonite to go over the modern 'flat-top" low maint batteies complete w battery fill caps, cast lead external conne4ctors and a LUCAS logo sticker.
I've started one for my old TR-3 but have nothing to show yet. Caps are getting difficult to find; my Dad got the last spares from the old New Castle Battery Mfg and now they're going out of business.
