Mike, you have talked about date codes on tires here recently. I looked at all of my "old" NDT tires and can't seem to see a pattern in numbers that I find. Other than the "9.00-16" on each tire, here is what I have:

Tire 1 - Original tire that came on 1951 B3PW - no numbers at all, but is branded "Goodyear" and says: "All Service, For American Wheels" (has the winged foot emblem).

Tire 2 - Mounted on a 1948 rim. May be original? - no numbers at all, but is branded "Goodyear" and says: "All Service, For 5(degree) Rims Only".

Tires 3,4,5,6 - All replaced the original Goodyears on the 1951 B3PW sometime between 1951 and 1977. All are branded "General, Heavy Duty". All say: "CK 992-8, 4" (with the "4" located under the CK 992-8) (one has a "2" in place of the "4"). Other than this number, each of the four tires has its own unique number: 21837D30E, 00061L30B, 23808L30B, 02275D30E.

Tire 7 - Is also a "General, Heavy Duty". Has the same "CK 992-8" and the "4". But, has no 9-digit number and letter combination.

Tires 8, 9, 10, 11 - These are 1980 vintage "Denman, NDT". (At least that is when I bought them as new). A lot of people cut down Denmans, but these were rock hard when I got them and I am still running them 25 years later. They have no numbers at all on them.

If you can help with these (or even if you can't) I have some 9 Mohawk NDT's that I bought NOS that I need to look for numbers.
