I am traveling 1200 kilo across BC driving a WC54 ambulance with Western Command Chapter. Traveling with my son Lars and David Barrett from Hawaii. We stop at legion posts and VFWs across BC and meet the vets along the way. Today we met a vet-92 years old who was one of the diggers on the Great Escape and also met the original photographer for "Faces of War". The Canadians are a great bunch. Some really hot weather but cooled off today near Kelowna BC. We had a big display downtown and a parade for the veterans. Nice to be participating in the 60th anniversary of V-day. The ambulance belongs to Roberto Mossier who had driven his WLA Harley for the last 450 miles in WWII full dress.
