i would rather trust my engine to parts i got from VPW rather than to a NAPA part.
from William Crouse's Automotive mechanics
"Low Oil pressure is often a warning of worn engine bearings. the bearings can pass so much oil that the oil pump cannot maintain oil pressure. Further, the end bearings will probably be oil starved and may fail.
Other causes of low oil pressure are a weak relief-valve spring, worn oil pump, broken or cracked oil line, or a clgged oil line.
Oil dilution, sludge, insufficient oil, or oil made too thin by engin overheating will cause low oil pressure."
with all this in mind you might get a new NOS high volume pump from VPW and then inspect & plasti-guage bearings while pan is off to see how worn they are
new inserts can be installed without removing
crank shaft you do however have to know if crank is standard or undersize so you can get
the correct set of inserts
