Today at 10:00 hrs. PST. in Vancouver, B.C. there will be a full Military Funeral for Sgt. Ernest "Smokey" Smith, Canada's last remaining winner of the Victoria Cross medal. The casket will be placed on a 25pdr. gun carriage and transported fom the SeaForth Highlanders of Canada Armoury to St. Andrews Wesley Church. In event that the 1941 Chevrolet CMP Field Artillery Tractor may have mechanical problems the alternate gun tractor will be a 1953 M-37 that also belongs to the museum of the 15th. Field Regiment R.C.A. The Dodge will be travelling at the rear of the procession and probably will not get much TV exposure but it will be there for the citizens to see that will be along the route.

God Bless Smokey Smith

God Bless the True North Strong and Free
