OT, V10 Dodge 3500 reliability?

Hi all, I am looking at a 1997 3500 4x4 with a V10 and automatic to buy for a work vehicle. It has 107k on it and will tow a 7k lb equipment trailer. I haven't heard anything bad or good yet on the V10. Anyone here have any experience with this type of truck? Thanks for any replies. Jim.
