Given the year of your PW they should be of the screw on variety. Try and spray some kroil or something similar into the threads and hope for the best. Many times the shaft and knob have "become one"! I would also recommend Power Wagon John for replacements. I would also check at Pilot-House.com as they used the same knobs.
