How's it going? My point with synthetics is this; yes they can lower temps, because they provide less friction, but dirt is dirt, contaminants and harmfull debris are trapped in the oil, it will be there until you change the oil, the shorter time that dirty oil is in the motor, the better you are. If you have the money to spend the bucks for synthetics, then still change the oil and filter ever 3,000 miles or sooner. Standard oil types are cheap and effective insurance.
