I have an 04 3500, had a 2000 2500 and a 97 2500 before that. I have never used synthetic oil. I'm not saying anything against but I have never had in problems due to lubrication of the engine. I have always used 15W-40W and try to service every 5000 miles but sometimes it is 6k or 7K.
